【摘要】:Nitrogendioxideplaysanimportantroleinphotochemicalsmog-formingreactionsand,insufficientconcentrations,isdeleterioustohealth,agriculture,materials,andvisibility.Incombustionprocesses,significantamountsofnitricoxide(NO)maybeproducedbycombinationofatmosphericnitrogenandoxygen;atambienttemperaturesNOcanbeconvertedtoNO2byoxygenandotheratmosphericoxidants.Nitrogendioxidemayalsobegeneratedfromprocessesinvolvingnitricacid,nitrates,theuseofexplosives,andwelding.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemanualdeterminationofnitrogendioxide(NO2)intheatmosphereintherangefrom4to10000g/m3(0.002to5ppm(v))whensamplingisconductedinfritted-tipbubblers.1.2ForconcentrationsofNO2inexcessof10mg/m3(5ppm(v)),asoccurinindustrialatmospheres,gasburnerstacks,orautomotiveexhaust,orforsamplesrelativelyhighinsulfurdioxidecontent,othermethodsshouldbeapplied.SeeforexampleTestMethodD1608.1.3Themaximumsamplingperiodis60minataflowrateof0.4L/min.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninbracketsareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Seealsoforotherprecautions.
