【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestherequirementsofelectricalsafetydevices,whichareusedtoavoidpotentialignitionsourcesofequipmentinexplosiveatmospheres.Thisalsoincludessafetydevices,whichareoperatedoutsideareaswithexplosiveatmospheres,toguaranteethesafefunctionofequipmentwithrespecttoexplosionhazards.NOTE1ThisEuropeanStandardcanalsobeusedtodesignandassesssafetydevicesforprotectivesystems.Electricalequipment,whichisintendedforuseinexplosiveatmospheres,mayrelyonthecorrectoperationofsafetydeviceswhichforexamplemaintaincertaincharacteristicsoftheequipmentwithinacceptablelimits.Examplesofsuchsafetydevicesaremotorprotectiondevices(tolimittemperatureriseduringstallconditions)andcontrollingdevicesforpressurisationprotection.Bymeansofcontrolormonitoringdevices,sourcesofignitioncanbeavoided.Thereforethesedevicesshallexecutetheappropriatemeasuresintheappropriatereactiontime,forexampletheinitiationofanalarmoranautomaticshutdown.NOTE2Somepotentialignitionsourcesmightnotbecontrollablebysafetydevices,e.g.electrostaticdischarges,ignitionsparkscausedbymechanicalimpact.Alsosomeprotectionmeasuresmightnotbecontrollablebysafetydevices,e.g.flameproofenclosures.Safetydevices,whosesafetyfunctioncannotadequatelybespecifiedundertheexistingEN60079orEN61241seriesofstandards,shalladditionallybedesignedaccordingtotherequirementsofthisstandard.Generallyforcomplexsafetydevicesappropriatedesignrequirementsarenotprovidedintheexistingtypesofprotection(see3.13forthedefinitionofacomplexdevice).NOTE3IngeneralthelevelsofsafetyrequiredbythisstandardareconsideredtobeequivalenttothoseprovidedbyconformitytoEN60079-0orEN61241-0.Noincreaseordecreaseofsafetyisintendedorrequired.SimilarlyneitherincreasenordecreaseofsafetywithrespecttoEN61508seriesisintended.Safetydevicescanbeclassifiedin2types:a)devices,whichareincludedascomponentintheequipmentundercontrol(see3.8).Thecombinedapparatusisconsideredasequipment.EXAMPLES-thermalswitchorthermistortoavoidoverheating,-temperaturemonitoringdevicestocontrolthesurfacetemperature.b)devices,whichareinstalledseparatelyfromtheequipmentundercontrolandconsideredasassociatedapparatusexclusivelyforaspecifictypeofprotectionorspecificequipmentundercontrol.Thecombinedapparatusisconsideredasasystem.EXAMPLES-externalcontroldevicesorsafetyrelatedpartsofacontrolsystemfortypeofprotectionpressurisation,-overloadprotectivedeviceforelectricmotorsoftypeofprotectionExe‘IncreasedSafety’,-controldevicesforbatterychargingequipment(protectionagainstoverchargingordeepdischarging),-leveldetectorsforthecontrolofsubmersiblepumps.Exclusionsfromthisstandard:Safetydevices,wherethesafetyfunctionisadequatelycoveredintheexistingstandardsofEN60079andEN61241seriesdonotneedanyadditionalassessmentaccordingtothisstandard.EXAMPLESIntrinsicallysafeassociatedapparatus,fuses,electromechanicaloverloadprotection,simplethermalprotectiondevices(e.g.thermalfuses,thermalswitches).Thestandarddoesnotincludedevicesorsystemstopreventtheoccurrenceofexplosiveatmospheres,e.g.inertingsystems,ventilationinworkplacesandcontainers/vessels.Gasdetectors,whicharecoveredunderEN61779series,EN50271orEN50402arealsoexcludedfromthescopeofthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotdealwithprotectionbycontrolofignitionsource‘b’fornon-electricalequipmentasdefinedinEN13463-6.
